Fostering a love of learning in primary school is essential for building a strong foundation in every child’s future.

Children are naturally curious and, at St Andrew’s Benn, we nurture this curiosity through fun, engaging and meaningful learning that connects learning and interests to the real-world to ensure all children have a Love of Learning for life.

Our curriculum is built to inspire and empower children to have their own voice, make a positive difference and become responsible global citizens.

Through engaging learning experiences, we foster confidence, curiosity and compassion. By promoting respect, diversity and a sense of community, we want to inspire children to contribute meaningfully to the world they live in.

Flourish

We want children to flourish both personally and academically, growing in confidence and resilience, persevering through mistakes and seeing challenge as opportunities to grow.

We want children to feel celebrated for who they are, heard for their voice and seen for their uniqueness. We believe every child needs love, from us as a school and from themselves, to truly flourish.

Enrichment

We want the world to remain magical to our children. Therefore, enrichment is woven across and beyond our curriculum to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of learning.

Through meaningful connections to real-world experiences, real-world problems and real-world people children explore beyond the classroom, deepening understanding, broadening horizons, growing in confidence and developing transferable skills as they discover and explore their own unique talents and interests.
