At SAB, we know an expertly designed curriculum is the beating heart of learning for all children, not just for their time at school but as successful future citizens of this world.
By creating a curriculum rooted in our F.A.M.I.L.Y vision, we ensure all members of our school community experience a Curriculum for L.I.F.E. that fosters in every child: a love of learning, an inspired mind, an ability to flourish academically and personally and an enriched childhood.
Curriculum Overview
Each term, learning is focused around a Key Lens to guide pupils toward answering a Big Question. On a two-year cycle, these Lenses and Questions are revisited throughout a child’s time at St Andrew’s Benn, building on prior knowledge and learning. All subjects contribute interleaved and spaced knowledge to support pupils in answering these questions, with the exception of PE and RE, which follow their own long-term plans.
