Welcome to our Nursery Class

Our class teacher is Mrs Hartwell. She is joined by our wonderful nursery Teaching Assistants Mrs Swinford (all day), Mrs Hughes (am sessions) and Miss Elliot (pm sessions). St Andrew's Benn Nursery is a safe, warm, and playful space where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Government Funded Sessions

We are a term time nursery and offer government funded sessions only (15 & 30 hours) for eligible 3 and 4 year olds. These run from Monday to Friday. Please note, funding begins the term after a child turns 3.

Our funded sessions are:

  • AM (08:30am - 11:30am),
  • PM (12:30pm - 3:30pm),
  • Full Day (AM & PM session)

15 Hour funded sessions may be booked as five 3 hour morning sessions or five 3 hour afternoon sessions. Funded morning and afternoon sessions cannot be combined on the same day.

Eligible working parents may access up to 30 funded hours per week. Eligibility must be confirmed via a valid 11-digit code issued through the Government childcare service and reconfirmed termly.

Lunches

Pupils who attend a full day will require a lunch during their session. Parents can either provide a healthy, nut-free packed lunch, or can pay £3.00 a day for a hot meal from our kitchen, which is bookable in advance on our School Spider app.

Depending on your circumstances, your child may be eligible to receive Free School Meals. Parents can apply by emailing freemeals@warwickshire.gov.uk or calling 0800 408 1558. Full information can be found at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/education-learning/apply-free-school-meals

The school is unable to confirm whether your child is eligible for Free School Meals.
