Covid-19 update

Due to the current restrictions on meetings and gatherings, the PTA are working hard behind the scenes to raise funds in a way that is safe for everyone. When rules allow, the PTA will arrange a meeting which any parent from St Andrew's Benn is welcome to attend.

What does the PTA do?

Our PTA are a group of parents, carers and staff who work together to plan and organise social and fundraising events. We aim to put on fun events for children and parents whilst also raising money for the school. We usually meet on a Monday morning after the Coffee Morning drop in. Everyone is very welcome to attend our meetings or help at events. You do not need to be available to attend all meetings or events; any time you can give to help us, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. The PTA provides an opportunity to meet other parents and carers and make new friends.

The money we raise at the events we run goes straight into making our children’s time at school more exciting and enriching and giving them more learning experiences that they will remember for years to come.


Matched Funding

If you work for an organisation that has a match funding policy, any money you raise could be matched by your employer.

For an introduction to what Matched Funding is, please have a look at the national PTA website: http://www.pta.co.uk/funding/faqs-match-funding.aspx.

Companies may match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their employee is working on. Usually, the employee will need to supply them with a letter from the PTA detailing the date and nature of the event, together with the total amount raised.

We understand that the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.

We would be grateful if you could see if your employer has a match funding scheme, or if they are willing to match fund any of our events.
