School Uniform

Should all be clearly marked with first and second names  Children have to wear the school uniform. 

Nursery children are expected to wear the school sweatshirt along with any trousers they feel are suitable for nursery.

Uniform can be purchased from the Webb Ellis Shop (in town) or online with Tescos.  With the Tesco uniform, you can receive your points on all uniform purchases and school get a small percentage back.  As well as the uniform listed below, Tescos also stocks a shower-proof reversible fleece with the school logo on and the school bookbags.

The uniform consists of:

Boys:                                      Black/grey school trousers / shorts

                                               White / blue school polo short

                                               Blue school sweatshirt

Girls:                                      Black/grey skirt / trousers

                                               White / blue school polo shirt

                                               Blue school sweatshirt / cardigan

                                               Blue / white checked summer dresses


Children should wear black or brown school shoes without patterns.  They MUST NOT wear high heels or trainers.  Children wearing either of these will be asked to remove them and put on PE pumps.  If children want to wear boots, please ensure they are ankle length boots only.

Children may have short hair but we do not allow children to have shaved pattern or lines in their hair.  Children are also not allowed to have colour in their hair.

It is not permitted for children to wear nail varnish to school.

PE Kit

PE kit is worn for games outside and gymnastics and dance indoors.  This should be kept in school at all times.

Children must wear black plimsolls for indoor PE.  Children may wear black plimsolls or trainers for outside games.  For any PE activity, children must wear a white t-shirt and black shorts.  They need to leave their kit in school in a clearly named PE bag.


Children must not wear jewellery in school.  They may wear stud earrings but these MUST NOT be worn on the days children do PE activities.


Children in Year 3 and 4 go swimming at the Queens Diamond Jubilee Centre.  Swimming lessons are part of the National Curriculum.  Your child should take a swimming costume; a towel and a weekly payment to cover the cost of transport, not the lessons.  These payments should be sent into school in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and the title ‘Swimming Money’.
