Prince William Award - litter pick

posted Jun 13, 2018, 4:52 AM by Amanda Gurney

Dear residents,

As you all know, there is a lot of litter on our local streets and we want to reduce that amount, which is why Year 4  at St Andrews Benn C of E Primary School  are going to be litter picking .

On the 20th of June, Year 4 pupils will be picking up litter on your local streets (Cambridge St, Corbett St and Chester St) for our Social Action Project. This is to help benefit the community. Putting your rubbish in the bin means helping the planet to be healthy and the animals to survive. We all love animals here at this school and do not want to see them suffer. Littering also pollutes the plants and hurts the world. Also, it makes areas smell which is not nice.

This is in association with SkillForce who deliver the Prince William Award. This is a character award for children between 6 and 18 that helps develop life skills and character qualities such as resilience and self-belief.

Hopefully, this will encourage others to do the same.

Yours Sincerely,

Year 4.
