National Young Mathematicians Competition

posted Nov 11, 2016, 2:57 AM by Amanda Gurney
As you are aware Mrs Gurney took 4 year children to explore learning to take part in the first round of the National Yougn Mathematicians Competition.

I’m delighted to tell you that St Andrew’s Benn have made it through to the regional final in the competition, which will consist of the top 4 schools in the Rugby area! This will be held in our centre again on Wednesday 23rd November.  The team worked very systematically and as a team from the first challenge, and really impressed the judges with their mathematical reasoning.

The top score from the day will be sent off to their head office, and if they are in the top 5 teams nationally they will qualify for the national final on December 7th
